Concealer. It’s seriously one of the more important yet
neglected items in my makeup bag. I need it but I don’t care for it like I do
my blushes, eyeshadows and other fund stuff yet it’s essential if I want a
flawless face. I am on a forever lasting hunt for the perfect under eye
concealer and although I've found ones that I've liked in the past, I just
always get sidetracked by new options whenever it comes to buying some more.
Today’s review is the result of this and I’m pretty darn happy I tried it out. I
picked up the Revlon Colorstay Blemish Concealer in Light Medium from my local
drugstore for under $10.

Review: Telescopic Shocking Extensions mascara by L'Oreal
If there’s something I can’t get enough of, it’s mascara. Although there’s a new one being released pretty much daily, I usually tend to stick to the ones I've tried and loved. After hearing great things about the Telescopic Shocking Extensions mascara by L’Oreal in Blackest Black, I caved and decided to try it and figured I would share my thoughts with you all.
First off, if you've automatically ruled out all Telescopic mascaras because you hate how spidery the original formula/brush made your lashes, I’d like to say that this version isn't at all like the original. I too really dislike the first formula L’Oreal came out with (although I know there’s a cult-like following lately) but although the packaging and name of the Shocking Extensions version is the same, the results are different.
As always, here is what L'Oreal has to say about this mascara:
As always, here is what L'Oreal has to say about this mascara:
L’Oreal introduces liquid extensions in a bottle, with new Telescopic™ Shocking Extensions™ mascara, a new generation of lash length. In one motion lashes are separated, intensified, and look shockingly lengthened for an intense make-up result.

Review: Mia 2 by Clarisonic
Today’s post is skincare related and I am SO excited about
this review! I am a firm believer that a proper beauty regimen and flawless
makeup starts with the skin that is underneath it all, which is why I like to
treat it the best I can. I'm known for doing way too much research, whether it
be on the ingredients I put on my skin or where I’ll be going on vacation – I
actually get a thrill researching and finding all the information I can about
something I'm interested in. After many many many months of research, I finally
ended up getting a Clarisonic Mia 2 for my birthday back in December from my
wonderful parents.
What is that? You ask? Some of you may know about it because
it is fairly popular in the blog/Youtuber world but for those of you who are in
the dark, let me enlighten you: it’s a face cleansing brush.

Review: L'Oreal True Match Lumi foundation
Ok so a few months ago I had talked to you guys about my
current favourite liquid foundation which was the L’Oreal True Match (read a review here). Yes, I
still find it amazing but I realized that my skin was looking a little dull
lately due to the cold and harsh winter months. Since I love the original True
Match so much, I figured I would check out L’Oreal’s new formula called True
Match Lumi Healthy Luminous Makeup (but really, who calls it that?) to see if it would liven up my face a little more. This foundation
came out during summer 2012 (I believe) and I decided to try it out in December
so I've been using this pretty consistently the last few months on days where I
want to use a liquid foundation.
Before I dish out my comments, I thought I should let you
know that I bought mine at a Rexall for around $18 and I got the shade W6 - Sun
Beige (which is the shade I am in all L’Oreal foundations). I know it’s pretty
steep for a foundation and Wal Mart probably sells it for cheaper but I love it
so much and it honestly compares to the higher end foundations I've tried so
the price really is awesome for what you get!
Let’s check out what the L’Oreal website has to say about
this stuff:
